Dan Brown, author of The Da Vinci Code and The Lost Symbol, says that his books, while fictional, are grounded in fact. We look at 50 of his claims.

The Da Vinci Code, his previous bestseller, began in a similar fashion, "All descriptions of artwork, architecture, documents, and secret rituals in this novel are accurate", Brown says before the prologue.

Gary Goldstein, head of national promotion and field operations for MCA, is also Jewish.

Does such Jewish promotion of this anti-Christian film imply a "Jewish conspiracy" to defame Christ?

In The Last Temptation of Christ (1988), Martin Scorsese tells a controversial story of a Jesus (played by Willem Dafoe) who struggles to follow his destiny: is he fully God or fully human? His companion Mary Magdalene wants him to “be a real man.”

Scorsese creates a character out of several unrelated biblical women, relying more on the novel by Kazantzakis than on historical research about Mary Magdalene.

'It was like a heartbreaking fairytale': Emotional moment cancer patient weds his true love in hospital ceremony before dying just 10 hours later

A 29-year-old cancer patient married the love of his life in an emotional ceremony at a Philippines hospital, just hours before dying.

Rowden Go Pangcoga had been busy planning his dream wedding to Leizl for July, when stage 4 liver cancer was diagnosed in May.

A video that captured the beautiful and heartbreaking ceremony earlier this month has quickly gone viral, with more than 4 million views since it was uploaded on June 18.

The wedding video was put on YouTube by Rowden's brother Hasset Go, who thanked staff at the Manila hospital for helping the family perform the wedding.

Hasset said his brother's dying wish had been to marry Leizl and, 'after 12 hours of preparations, his dream was fulfilled'.

1. Introduction
Biblical Prophecies clearly predict the rise of the Anti-Christ in the end times and more than 100 passages of Scripture describe the Anti-Christ’s Origin, Nationality, Character, Career, and Global Conquest. The term Anti-Christ may be applied both to an individual and to the system he represents.

Interestingly, the term Antichrist (Anti-Christos in the Greek) appears only in 1John 2:18-22, 4:3, 2John 7. The Apostle John uses it both in the Singular (the antichrist) and in the Plural (many anti-Christ). John indicates that his readers have already heard that the Antichrist is coming in the future. Then he surprises them by announcing that many antichrists have already come. He describes these lesser antichrists as liars who deny that Jesus is the Christ (2:22).

In this sense, an Antichrist is any False Teacher who denies the person and work of Jesus Christ. Such Teachers are truly anti (against) Christ. In 1John 4:1-3, John warns us to test the spirits to make sure they are from God. He warns that many false prophets (pseudo-prophetes in the Greek) have “gone out into the world.” These are the people who do not acknowledge that Jesus is from God. In this sense, John announces that the “spirit of the antichrist… is already in the world.”

The Shroud of Turin And Its Significance For Biblical Studies

Introduction (Abstract):
This essay addresses the four areas most commonly questioned in a study of the Shroud of Turin: its history, its relationship with the NT descriptions of Jewish burial techniques, correlations with the person of Jesus, and any possible evidence for his resurrection. Evangelical critics usually concentrate on the NT data related to Jesus’ burial: the author therefore gives special attention to this area.

There is little question that the Shroud of Turin has occasioned much recent interest in evangelical and non-evangelical circles alike. My own interest in this subject was aroused years ago by my studies on the apologetic value of Jesus’ resurrection. Because of these studies it has been my privilege both to do research with some of the scientists who investigated the shroud in October 1978 and to have recently co-authored a manuscript along with the official spokesman for these scientists. My chief area of research has been the philosophical questions surrounding the shroud and any possible evidence for the resurrection of Jesus in particular.

These opportunities have given me a different perspective from which to view the Shroud. Most reports concerning the scientific investigation have been based on news releases and on other incomplete (and often incorrect) data. As a result many articles have appeared, both pro and con, but based on these or other more superficial sources. Especially distressing are some evangelical critiques based on partial information. The major reason why such reports are based on largely incomplete data is simply stated: The final report of the scientists and much of the other material has not been released yet. One cannot refute what one does not know. But the most crucial data concerning the research has not been made public and therefore such critiques are quite incomplete.
